For a part of my research and planning, my partner and I decided to do some audience research and conducted a survey given to various people, from the results of our survey which was in a form of an questionnaire, we found that many people from ages 16-18 were very interested in horror and vampires and witches were the most liked horror supernatural character, also most enjoyed horror drama compared to horror comedy, horror romantic and horror thriller.
After my groups results, i decided to do further research, therefore had a look at the BBFC website in order to have a look as to whether our media product would fit into classifications that are distributed within the UK. http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ Our media product fit the 12A classification as they were our audience we decided to focus on and due to our gore and blood; we decided not to lower the age classification. Also, similar media products such as the film Twilight is also a 12A rating.

The audience that was focused on were teenagers to young adults, from ages 12-23 years, although ages above 23 may also enjoy the sequence. Gender of the audience is uni-sex as i believe the media sequence shows equality between males and females, also due to the variety of ethnicities we used, the media sequence would be suitable for any race/ethnicity. Due to the sequence being multi-cultural, the sequence would be suitable for any class. The interests of our media product audience would most likely be those who enjoy films, particulary horror and teen drama, therefore its suitable for an audience who prefer multiple genres.
Also it does not go by the usual film theory, for example Todorov's film theory is that there is usually a incident in the middle of a film, me and my partner twisted the usual theory and made our sequence unique by adding a incident at the opening of our product.
